Awards, bursaries and scholarships
We offer a variety of supports to help you finance your education and time at university:

Awards: Based on a combination of various criteria and donor contribution amounts (domestic students).

Bursaries: Based on financial need (domestic and international students).

Scholarships: Based on academic performance (domestic and international students).
Best of all, this is financial assistance that you don't have to pay back!
Please note: Ontario Tech University Student Awards and Financial Aid welcomes financial aid and award applications from all students, including women, members of visible minorities, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, and persons of any sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. We will ensure awards are administered in compliance with the award eligibility criteria and selection is completed in a fair and equitable manner with consideration across all groups.
Students with disabilities
If you're a student with a documented disability that impacts your ability to take a full course load, our Admissions and Scholarship Committee will review your application, pending you meet all other criteria for the bursary. Student Accessibility Services (SAS) can assist with your eligibility.

Tips for applying for external awards, scholarships and bursaries

- Prepare a one-page essay template and resumé.
- Set-up profiles on the websites—similar to LinkedIn.
- Confirm application deadlines for all the opportunities you're interested in.
- Each award has different application instructions—follow them specifically.
